I posted a photo of an artwork made with scraps of wood, wrappings of alfajores (typical biscuit-like treats filled with toffee and covered in chocolate) which I called ¨Recuerdos de Buenos Aires / Remembrances of Buenos Aires¨ which is a city where I lived when I was a little girl and two students of art at the Universidad Monteávila saw it and invited me to participate in their graduation exhibition. They gave me specific instructions for the artwork. I was to use recycled materials. So I began combing the streets near where I live for discarded junk food and candy wrappings and soda and beer and energy drink cans. I sanitized them with bleach and soapy water and stuck them onto an mdf board and sprayed paint Jackson Pollock style. I am posting here the original and then took a photo and transformed it with my favorite software. What do you think of the result?
